E-MAIL MARKETING
Ezine Director is not an e-mail marketing company. We do not rent, sell, or purchase e-mail lists or addresses. Contact the Publisher directly for information related to advertising/marketing.
SUBSCRIPTION VERIFICATION
Ezine Director requires all subscriptions to be obtained through direct permission from the email address owner to the publisher/list owner. This can be accomplished through single or double opt-in process. The email address can not be a borrowed or purchased subscription/list.
Ezine Director also requires publishers to agree with the Terms and Policy, which states all subscriptions on any given list are volunteered by the recipient him/herself prior to using Ezine Director.
UNWANTED E-MAIL
In some instances, we find our customer's previous e-mail management provider has not fully managed the e-mail list. For example, remove requests are not honored and/or undeliverable e-mails are not handled appropriately. This affects Ezine Director, as new lists to our system will likely get through to recipients previously not possible. This often creates an undesired result for the recipient who feels the e-mail is unwarranted and now unwanted. [Note: Not recognizing the publisher or newsletter is one of the most common causes of unsolicited e-mail complaints.] All we ask is that you take this in consideration when an unwanted e-mail is received through Ezine Director's service. There are many circumstances that create unwanted e-mail besides blatant unsolicited e-mail.
REMOVE REQUEST
Ezine Director can handle remove requests through a variety of methods and sources, all of which are instantaneous.
1) Within every delivery/publication there is an unsubscribe link typically at the bottom/footer of the publication.
2) A recipient may reply with common words like remove, unsubscribe, complaint, abuse, and other common phrases that are typically related to a remove request.
3) Feedback loops with major ISPs provide Ezine Director with direct information related to complaints from that ISP like AOL, Hotmail, Juno/Netzero, and many more. All that is required for processing of a complaint is original header information sent to abuse@ezinedirector.net.
4) A global remove function under the Abuse link at the top of every page on EzineDirector.com. An individual can check in real-time for his/her e-mail address on any of the publications/lists managed by Ezine Director. If a subscription is found s/he can eliminate that subscription if desired.
