It wasn’t long ago experts claimed that we were entering the age of secularization. Instead the headlines of the new century have become dominated by religious fervor, not at least because of the rise of Muslim militants and 9/11.
There are fanatics on all sides and maneuvering this arena without offending someone is hard. Google had done well, so far, but this week there were signs that they are not succeeding.
Christianity is stupid
Search Engine Roundtable reports of Christians being pangered by the search results for the search query “Christianity is”. Some have gotten top results like “Is Christianity Absurd” and “Christianity is Stupid”.

The problem

The search engines say it is to improve the search results, but do you really want to share your personal information with these corporate giants whose only interest is in generating more revenue?
The more you use your computer, the more the search engines know about you. Every time you search for something on the web, these sites are collecting data. This includes tons of personal information, like your IP number and your search query, along with your web using habits and trends. If you have your web history switched on, which web sites you visit.
